There were a few milestones in tonight’s game against the Diamondbacks, both in the 6th inning. Miguel Tejada hit an RBI single past the shortened up infield for his 2000th career hit. His first career hit was in 1997. He is the 29th shortstop in MLB history to have 2000 hits.
Lance Berman hit his 300th homerun 2 batters after Tejada’s single. He becomes the 7th switch-hitter to reach that feat.
Soon Ivan Rodriguez could hold Carlton Fisk’s record for games caught by a catcher of 2,226. He is set to break the record in the Rangers series.
Astros go for the series win tomorrow afternoon after tying the series with a win tonight.
