Bud Norris made his first major league start today and almost made history. He went 5 innings before Adam Wainwright broke up his no hitter in the 6th inning. Overall he went 7 innings giving up 2 hits and striking out 5. He was also the first Astro to get a hit when he dribbled Wainwright’s offering right of the pitchers mound and beat the throw. He has been the only pitcher to be able to handle Matt Holliday since he has come to the Cardinals. His success came from bein able to hit corners that were being called by the umpire. Jose Valverde came in with 2 outs in the 8th inning to secure Bud Norris’s first win.

Hopefully this will inspire the Stros leading to more wins and climbing back up the ranks to a division title.

The Giants series starts tomorrow when Matt Cain faces Mike Hampton in Houston.
